The Group

  The name 

                                            It was the name of the other world (land of youth) according

 to the ancient Celtic tradition, where  people could arrive only if they were 

holder of particular features. 

          The origins 

The group was born in the early year 2000 from the  

meeting of musicians fascinated by sounds and 

atmospheres  of popular and Celtic  music, and with almost 

a ten year experience in concerts in several different contexts. 

The repertory         

                                             Are proposed recent compositions of the group, songs 

 remembering Celtic ballads, melodies more similar 

to French traditional dances, with an approach that reminds

 sometimes ancient music, sometimes gets closer to contemporary 

music melodic and harmonic patterns.

The instruments

                                                           Keyboards, voices and bass setting is enriched by  strictly

 acoustic instruments such as diatonic accordion, hurdy-gurdy, 

bagpipes, in particular the Scottish, the armonium and a 

lot of wind instruments of the European popular tradition.

The players

                                                           Tirnamoe is available as a duo, trio or quartet according

to different situations, alternatively to the concert are possible

other exibitions of Italian traditional music, ancient music, Christmas music,

lessons for school and workshops of traditional music and singing.
